The Roof Doctor

We hired The Roof Doctor in May 2025 to re-do our roof and deck. There have been a variety of problems since then and a new one just appeared today. First they left garbage and nails on our neighbors roof while working and did not clean up appropriately. Then, the initial deck they built had a crooked and angled privacy wall that was literally in the way of our roof deck door. They agreed and fixed this after we pointed it out. Next, a few months ago in Fall 2025, there was a leak and water was coming in from our ceiling. They did come back and fix it after we called them. Today - January 24, 2026 - we hear a squirrel that is running around in between our ceiling and the roof. My husband went up there and it’s clear that there is an area that’s not properly sealed on the roof. I will say that they’ve been responsive to these issues in the past but this feels like the last straw. Given the number of issues I’ve just outlined, it seems that they did not do a thorough, careful, or proper job. I’m terrified of a family of squirrels now living in my roof. To be seen what happens next. Update: the roof starting leaking water today, January 26, 2026 inside our home. This is now the SECOND leak we've had since they replaced our roof, in addition to hearing an animal on Saturday. They have not called us back yet despite us calling since Saturday.

Extremely disappointed with the work of The Roof Doctor. They performed a full roof replacement for us. From the very beginning it was clear the work was poorly organized — after completing the job, they forgot to install the roof ventilation vents. I had to notice this myself and remind them. Only a month later did they come back to install them. But the problems didn’t end there. After their return visit, the attic was left in terrible condition — they left a huge amount of construction debris. It’s almost impossible to move around up there: dust, nails, wood scraps, and trash everywhere. It felt like cleanup was never part of their plan. In addition, after the work was done, the roof began leaking at the connection point near the gutter. I contacted them and asked them to come fix the issue. They came, but instead of properly repairing it, they simply applied sealant. I checked the next day — the leak was still there. The problem was not resolved. After that, I informed them again about the leak, but since mid-December no one has responded, despite promises to call back. The only reason we chose this company was their promised 14-year warranty. But what is the point of a warranty if no one shows up to honor it and fix the issues? In reality, this warranty turned out to be just words. In summary: • Important elements forgotten during roof installation • Attic left full of construction debris • Roof leaking at the gutter connection area • Attempt to “cover up” the issue instead of fixing it properly • No follow-up or communication • A long “warranty” that is meaningless Conclusion: don’t overpay for big warranty promises. Another company offered to do the same job for nearly half the price, even though their warranty was only 2 years — in reality, that would have been more honest and reliable. Do not recommend.

I had a few people come out to look at our roof(s) and Roof Doctor was the only one who gave us multiple quotes clearly explaining the work needed for each roof and multiple levels of repair to fit our budget. They also had great customer service whenever I called the office - they were responsive and did the things they said they would do. They also went above and beyond because we had a mystery leak that I thought would be solved by the new roof (we had just one of our three replaced) but when it wasn't they came out and patched up some places on another roof we hadn't planned to get repaired yet - for free. After the recent rain and "wintery mix" we have no leaks. Harry was our main dude and he's a real gentleman to boot. Roof Doctor has a family vibe, and I felt very well taken care of. Highly recommend!

I have used the services of 4 different roofing companies for various projects on multiple units. Roof Doc is easily the most attentive and communicative. The quote was reasonable and in-line and I found that they can honestly explain what's needed and why. Based on the progress pictures - they went above and beyond for my difficult project (full tear and re-roof) while still sticking to the original contract/estimate. Overall experience has been very positive and I would recommend to anyone looking for roof work.

They provided an honest assessment of what needed to be done and then gave us a fair quote. The written "scope of work" didn't include everything we had talked about initially, but when I reminded them of it they didn't try and pretend as if it had never been part of the agreement. There have been a few rainstorms since they finished replacing our flat-roof and we haven't had any issues so far. Would definitely recommend!

The team did a great job with recoating my roof! They were very communicative after an initial miscommunication over email, calling me to make sure we were clear on the scope of the project and get someone out. They were able to get someone out quickly to do the work and it looks great! Relived I can check the roof off my to do list after moving into a new home. Will hire again.

We needed a new roof and significant repair and the Roof Doctor was courteous, professional, thorough, timely, and got the job done exactly as promised. They showed up on time. The cost was precisely what we agreed upon. They did excellent work. Harry and the team were absolutely amazing. Special shout out to Tara and the office. Could not recommend enough.

The Roof Doctor employees were very easy to communicate with both on the phone and in person. I was impressed with their promptness and ability to clarify questions. Most importantly, they have been effective in determining problems that previous inspectors missed!

I moved into my house three years ago, but had no idea of the condition of the work. I contacted the Roof Doctor to come check it out. Requesting an appointment was easy on the website, a real person emailed me to schedule the visit within the week, he showed up right when he said he was going to, brought a ladder to go up to the third story, came down and explained to me exactly what was up there and how often the roof should be checked, and is going to follow up with pictures next week. He was very nice and explained everything very straight-forwardly. A really easy visit I should have scheduled a long time ago, I will absolutely be contacting them again in the future if it comes time to make a repair!
